If t...As the writ twits say, it’s all moot anyway. If the courts (once again) say that DeLay is perfectly eligible to run, DeLay will most assuredly ask to have his name removed from the ballot. Why? Because without his name on the ballot, he can take unlimited contributions to his legal defense fund. As long as his name is on the ballot, he’s limited to $5,000 a contributor. That cramps Tom’s style, knowing that federal charges are coming. It was not coincidental that DeLay resigned three days after this former aide Tony Rudy turned states’ evidence.<BR/><BR/>However, there is a certain guilty pleasure in watching Republicans realize they've been tooled by DeLay.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
