This past June as Tea Partiers in state governments attacked Union rights this list of 36 reasons why you should thank a Union was published here. And today it is Labor Day and I think it is appropriate to repost the list. Appropriate because I just watched my President address a Union audience in Detroit, Michigan, where he repeated several of these very same points: It wasn’t corporate America that came up with the 40-hour work week, sick leave and pensions. It was the Labor Movement.
A movement that has been increasingly attacked by the uberright.
