I have zero faith in the Supreme Court to see its way clear to let millions of Americans, including yours truly, to enjoy affordable healthcare. On the third day of hearings in this Republican effort to undo decades of work to bring the United States into something near what most other countries take for granted, the Supremes seem to be lining up along political party lines.

So when I see the looming end to dashing my hopes for healthcare independence on the rocks of Republican disinformation, I must retreat to cynicism. Cynicism, is after all the final refuge of the eternal pessimist.
