Fireworks on the 4th

Here it is the 4th of July, Independence Day, and it is so very tinder dry here in drought-stricken Texas that they have practically banned the striking of a match let alone the lighting of a fuse to launch my favorite sky rockets.

Here where I live you can practically buy a pyrotechnic display that nearly rivals what people go to see in public parks.

But alas, not this year. This year the only fireworks I will be seeing are the ones coming out of Katy Perry.

Happy Soggy Fourth!

Well it’s the 4th of July and here in southeast Texas we have yet another massive storm system passing slowly, ever so slowly through the area.

The news is full of cancelled parades, festivals and fireworks shows. That being the case, maybe the only fireworks my 6 nearby readers will ever see today will be the one that they can see by clicking on the YouTube frame below.

They say it’s the world’s largest fireworks display on record so . . . well . . . there’s that.
