Repealing Obamacare

News item: Today in Washington, D.C. the House voted to repeal Obamacare, and it passed by a roll call vote of 229 Aye to 195 Nay. This was the 37th time the same vote passed in the House since Obamacare became the law of the land.

Michele Bachmann jumped up and down, rubbing her hands gleefully, saying "It's back on the table."

For the 37th time, yes, repeal of Obamacare is back on the table.

Also in the news is the latest Congressional Budget Office report that the growth in health care costs have slowed, and that over the next ten years health care costs will contribute a $618 billion reduction in the budget deficit.

This report comes out and the House responds by voting to repeal this source of budget deficit reduction. House Republicans are not, are NOT serious about reducing the deficit. The only thing they want to do is retake the White House in 2016.

There is nothing else on their agenda.

Yeah, and John Quincy Adams wasted so much time in the House of Representatives trying to abolish slavery. How dare he waste the time of the House!

Gee Anonymous, you're not comparing in any way the repeal of a health care act that will bring health benefits to millions of human beings previously unable to have those benefits to the ending of slavery in America are you?

Oh...wait...yes you are.
