Prop 8 Gay Marriage Law at SCOTUS Tomorrow

Tomorrow the day of reckoning for California's infamous Proposition 8 will come before the Supreme Court for a much-anticipated hearing. Proposition 8 is infamous in that it takes away a fundamental right that a state granted to people, introducing a grossly unfair situation where 18,000 gay and lesbian partners became legally married, but no more would be allowed to.

And there are lots of people out there who are second guessing what the Court will do, or not do. Will they find Prop 8 completely unconstitutional and overturn every state initiative to prevent gays and lesbians from marrying? Will they simply limit their decision to California? Or will they uphold the California law passed by 52 percent of Californians in 2008, the year a majority of Californians voted for Obama.

Who knows. All I know is that Chief Justice Roberts is going to have one of his own family sitting in the audience tomorrow. His cousin.

His lesbian cousin.

Have a nice day, Justice Roberts.
