A cameraman from Austin's KXAN was there in the committee room taking video of the day’s proceedings when State Rep. Betty Brown wandered down to the corner of Racist and Ignoramus in her angst over hard-to-pronounce Chinese names. An excerpt of the exchange between her and Voter ID Bill testifier Ramey Ko is now at You Tube
And here.
There is another enlightening exchange between her and Mr. Ko that hasn’t been in the media, one that doesn’t portray Brown’s vile racist tendencies, but does deal with her grasp of recent human history.
Here it is:
Brown: Is there a proof of any kind of . . . uh . . . identification proof in
Ko: Well there’s not a lot of elections in
(Committee room erupts in laughter)
Brown: Ah, I guess not. Touché.
Ouch, Betty. Ouch.
