Americans Hate Muslims. Leave No Doubt.

When the movie “Borat” hit the theaters I stayed away in droves. I knew from the trailers that this was going to be offensive to Muslims. Borat, who was from Kazakhstan comes to America and cultures clash.

In it somewhere is a parody of the Kazakhstan national anthem. A song that was mistakenly played over the loud speakers recently to honor Mariya Dmitriyenko, the winner of the gold medal in the 75 target event at the 10th Arab Shooting Championship in Kuwait. They played the parody, obviously not being able to understand the lyrics, spoken in English.

So “Borat” keeps on delivering insults beyond its run in the theaters. And here is a video of Ms. Dmitriyenko taking it on the chin. She is better than the Muslim haters, that is for sure.

So what you are saying is that Muslims in a Muslim country offended other Muslims by playing a parody song from a film made by a Jewish comic who is a British subject, but that Americans are somehow responsible. Color me confused.
